A Clinical Study on Otogenic Brain Abscess

Since the chemotherapeutic antibiotics were adminstered for the treatment of acute otitis media, otogenic intracranial complications have been decreasing in number.
In the cases of chronic otitis media, however, the intracranial complications have occured in increasing trend because of the improper dosage of antibiotics and appearance of drug resistant strains of bacteria,
From June 1975 to November 1977, Author have experienced ten cases of otogenic brain abscess in our department. There are seven cases of temporal lobe abscess and three cases of cerbellar abscess, and this is the report of clinical findings on these cases.
